Fixed Layout Epub: Need switch from spreads to 1-up upon orientation change

i'm getting desperate. working on client, , have tight deadline. we're stuck facing-pages indesign document, , have epub , running spreads.

 

unfortunately, client wants when turn ipad portrait, pages no longer spreads, 1-up. demanding on count. we've been stuck in project without who's done kind of thing before, we're learning go along, , can't figure 1 out. appreciated.

 

so, tldr, need spreads in landscape, 1-up in portrait. help!
