no offense guys, unity blows not on machine, not of in first place -- namely parents prodded install linux , simplify lives getting off msft products. why in hell sea change in ui , @ least not warn these people things going different after commit install?
imo, age old maxim linux has become easy mom can use has been set substantially canonical decided 11.04. has made life exponentially more difficult, not machine, various other machines of other people must 1 one computers how want it.
please, canonical, can come easy fix other booting "classic" mode? things still not working right after 10.10 11.04 upgrade on new machine , i'm sick of trying figure out why. i've jumped through hoops of linux's "olden days" , familiar linux troubleshooting. i've used various distros 10 years exclusively. exclusively linux user since 2001. 10.10 worked in ways i'd never seen in distro -- in awesome. went , broke it. know of can configured me, ugh!
might seem obvious thing say, , misses essence of point, why not put people recommend linux on lts , try out 6 monthly releases on yours. giving chance a. see if it's good, , b. iron out troubles may have.
