dell mini 1010
160gb hard drive space
had dual boot win7 , lucid lynx (ubuntu 10.04)
formatted whole drive
have maverick meerkat (10.10)
looking 3 way partition 160gb hard drive, 20gb ubuntu (as small, , light) 70gb hackintosh , 70gb windows 7. first have creat partition table, mysterious. boot ubuntu pen drive (to partition drive) , go disk utility, , sure enough, shows 160gb drive along side swap , extended partitions (are these needed? because if decide reformat drive might not included) when go gpart- shows me have (once again) 3 partitions, extended , swap normal, 146.12gb file system. o.o. how can 10gb of space not there! has gone?
come you, land of experience, ask of above questions , also: how can redeem space, 3 way booting soon, cannot afford less space have!
