How to add a new module in my template - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello there,

i working on template has advertisment/ showcase module (see attach, mod-pos.jpg file) takes 100% of width of template. want add new module in right of (see attach, mod-pos-new.jpg file).

i tried adding new postion in index.php , templatedetails.xml files , result - new module has been added in below adv module. want module add in right side of it.


could please me on this.

have tried copy code module "advertisement" , change attribute "left" "right"?
