Accessing the Admin Page? Lost the URL - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i installed joomla 2.6.1 mamp , successful. got far admin page , gave day. now, couple of days later have been trying continue lessons , have cleared cache on internet browser. can't life of me figure out how access admin page. have tried sorts of combination of addresses on localhost server thingy , can't figure out. isn't there file in finder somewhere through can access it.

wouldn't better if joomla simple program open rather these different entities working together? confusing newbie me. persevere if me access admin page please.

could re-check joomla version? 2.6.1 not exist, latest version 2.5.6.

are able access e.g. phpmyadmin? or front-end of website?
