i have tried numerous times inserting think correct codes in .htaccess file in hope www in domain name work , redirect. sites work great http://sitename not www.sitename
where days when www worked?
i'm using both joomla 1.5.25 , 2.5.6 . sef/mod rewrite turned on ofcourse. in config.php file, whether has url name or blank, still www don't work.
but need proper code put in htaccess file. i've gotten forums not working. please help.

that's problem dns configuration, not .htaccess
