encore cs5.1
after 12 hours, no further forward... having trawled through number of posts on , similar subjects against buffers.
the requirement simple - getting abobe encore cs5.1 "see" request use chapter marker gives me 1 of 3 in manual option section during build process.
i had no issues dl authoring in cs4, cs5 giving me lot of grief.
the outline:
i have timeline of 67 minutes 6 chapter markers. first 2 within first 10 minutes, ch3 @ 36 minutes, ch4 @ 38 minutes, ch5 @ 41 minutes , ch6 @ 61 minutes.
i using verbatum dl +r dvds (i have used no other these last 3 years) write speed of x4 or x2.4.
once have built new project, imported video , placed chapters above (all except ch3 @ fade-to-black points) select 8.54 gb dual layer, side one, manual , proceed.
at invitation select manual point encore offers me ch3, ch4 , ch5. no matter select, places break point @ 33 minutes (about half way) , in doing screws own chapters placing it's own (invisible in timeline) chapter thereby shuffling mine. result lose sections or repeated sections.
i tried building folders , using imgburn. confirms insistance on using halfway point - same building image chapter , cell never selected, cell @ halway point.
adobe encore not recognising selection (at own invitation).
i have deleted project , cache - rebooted , built project scratch importing video - creating timeline , adding chapters - same.
i have followed of points given using folders in imgburn - not working me. it's encore screwing build , build same though settings held in cache.
as mentioned, have cleared previous builds , files , deleted media cache no joy.
i'm getting point whereby choice left me split project timeline , build project 2 separate dvds (as timeline on capacity single sided dvd (3 minutes).
as pcg edit - doesn't seem want run on workstation (pc i7 24gb ram - 3 separate drives in raid combo , separate os ssd).
can me find out has happened encore appear after every "upgrade" somthing gets little worse judging cs4 experience.

one reason encore creates new chapter (and reason can think of img burn choke) there material layer, no matter how split layers using chapters.
i don't see how can material barely warrants dual layer, else can be.
if case , there no other place "silent" chapter (that add, , can therefore plan in chapter selections - or nonselection in case), might reduce datarate 2 chapters can fit on 1 layer.
you don't say, running "as administrator," right?
