hello there,
sorry discussed question after reading tons of material, still haven't found satisfying answer.
how guys export h.264 video premiere such displays in consistent way tonal point of view in premiere canvas , players (vlc, qt7, qtx, wmp, ...) , on youtube , vimeo ??
is possible ?
you know talking : washed out have when viewing videos in quicktime opposed vlc.
the crushed blacks can observe when upload on web or if play out of cam video directly in vlc example.
and weirder : different of same video between qtx & qt7 on occasions !!!
i don't know if because of gamma issue or issue difference between full range levels (0-255) , limited ragne levels (16-235). still, have plenty of tonal inconsistencies.
my footage come canon dslrs :
- 7d, 5d2 (which rec. 601 color space if not mistaken)
- 5d3 (which rec. 709 color space if not mistaken)
i import them directly (no transcoding) premiere cs5.5 on mac snow leopard (gamma 2.2).
i export through adobe media encoder using supplied h.264 preset, tried export using x264 codec in mov container, nothing consistent (i adressing qt here)
i lost in tonal maze. have simple receipe fix ? ... , optionally explanation ? ... if there one.
thank much.
is possible ?
i don't believe it's more possible getting dvd display same on every tv. that's why need external reference monitor displays signal accurately possible.
