Spyr Menu Background Image

hello

i'm building first site in dreamweaver (now cs6). it's been education , 1 step forward/ 1 step kind of thing.

 

i have little spry menu changes background colour black grey when hover on various page titles think better if had gradient effect instead of solid colour.

 

so thought making small image in photoshop , adding background 1 of spry properties; possible? if so, of spry property add image to?

depends on of spry menus using. 

 

spry menu 2.0 has greater latitude customization spry pre-release 1.6.1 had.
