Thread: Ubuntu Repo's from IPv6 ONLY Enabled Machine

cannot resolve addresses of ubuntu repo's in order run apt-get.

"machine" linux-vserver (running lucid lynx) ipv6 address. far aware setup correctly in order use ipv6, of course that's why here. can resolve other ipv6 enabled domains (like google's), , can ssh server on ipv6 address.

ubuntu repo's available on straight ipv6? need use particular nameserver in order resolve ubuntu's repo's? using he.net's nameserver if may have bearing on issue @ all. sort of @ loss of how continue troubleshooting problem.

once again machine has ipv6 address, , not tunneling on ipv4.

if run "host ..." of various servers listed in /etc/apt/sources.list or like, don't v6 addresses. don't think canonical particularly v6-enabled yet. can find occasional mirrors dual-stacked.

experience of "ipv6 hour" @ nanog-42 (february 2008, san jose, ca, usa) remains pertinent: maximum compatibility, dual stack, not ipv6-only. ipv6 still bleeding edge, , until around 2015 or so.
