i googled "google.com webhp" , majority of sites come mention rootkits in windows xp. www.google.com/linux webpage redirects me there. possible rootkit on linux well? know that's far-fetched, want make sure.
else address when trying access google.com/linux?
hi fpgdu,
here test , test results:
fyi, running:
ubuntu 11.04 on test machine
test (1):
* opened opera browser (11.11)
* put browser:
http://google.com/linux
* received output:
http://www.google.com/webhp
test (2):
* opened chrome browser (11.0.696.71)
* put browser:
http://google.com/linux
* received output:
http://www.google.com/webhp
test (3):
* opened both browsers , checked url:
http://www.google.com/linux
* shows in search when entering goes "webhp" site
* when looking "cached" sit can find "linux" search,
not when trying access it.
after checking threads , google's homepage:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/about/products/index.html
seems "old linux" search might "gone" ... ... .
check security redirect mention, has been used malware.
hope findings you.
cheers
