Thread: APT:Cache-Limit increase problem

i'm receiving error message: eynamic mmap ran out of room. please increase size of apt::cache-limit. current value: 25165824. (man 5 apt.conf), e:error occurred while processing libguile-ltdl-1 (newfilever1), eroblem mergelist /var/lib/dpkg/status, e:the package lists or status file not parsed or opened.'

have tried increase cache adding line

apt::cache-limit “10000000″;
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/70debconf has no effect. on ubuntu lucid 10.04 lts

apparently getting value elsewhere.

i don't have explanation did remove repository chromium, karmic entry, , able reestablish connection apt list.
