Files too large?

i trying merge several hundred pdfs single pdf (not portfolio) using acrobat 9 pro. when add files , click "combine" freezes , moves through slowly. eventually, says has combined them not go save window. instead, reverts "add files" window if has done nothing @ all.

i have tried putting these pdfs 8 larger pdfs. when try combine these, same thing happens. help?!

it sounds 1 of few things might happening.

• you might running out of temp file space.  try clearing temp files.
• you may have single corrupt file killing whole job.

 

i know it's painstaking, you've combined documents 8 files now, try combining files 1 @ time see if @ point fails.  (i.e. combine files 1.pdf , 2.pdf make 1+2.pdf.  combine 1+2.pdf 3.pdf, etc.)
