Switching web editors

i've read before 1 can't import muse created website web editor, thought possible import websites other editors such dreamweaver? concern in case muse discontinued or wish use different editor websites i've created in muse have remade on stay updated.

the whole subscription model exacerbating situation since otherwise keep bought version of relevant editor on computer edit old sites, muse have rent everytime need edit created in muse, though may not have actual use muse longer (if, say, i'm using dreamweaver instead).

it seems unfriendly not locked editor site designed having rent make updates sites instead of being able buy , have old version on computer plenty simple content additions.

so question whether i've misunderstood or if there plans make possible import muse designed site other editors dreamweaver.

thought possible import websites other editors such dreamweaver?

this depends entirely upon skill set in dreamweaver , deciphering code. there have been several experienced web designers , coders have explained lesser code knowledgeable here code muse produces complex , heavy go through. it's not coder/editor friendly ( loads of code wade through ) , take lot of time , patience go through , slim down in programme dreamweaver. quite frankly, if have type of skills, wouldn't using muse in first place.

muse high-end hobbiest ---> pro-sumer product. dreamweaver meant , marketed professionals in web industry. muse designed easy , elegant use people low mid level skill set, keep possible, it's bit of 'closed system' .

my concern in case muse discontinued or wish use different editor websites i've created in muse have remade on stay updated

believe me, muse being discontinued main concern well. @ point, have taken bit of plunge , 'gone it' bit of trust , hoping best in regards it's longivity. think since iweb eliminated, muse has excellent chance on market started using iweb, got bit confident , want bring notch. or, professional desingers myself trained in dreamweaver, print design , lost web-skills. so, use muse companies websites ( in-house designer ) realatively easy sites focusing more on basic information , aesthetics interactivity or cms systems. however, becuase not complex, if can loose them , start on again wysiwyg editor, so.

if need more what's muse's 'golden cage' has offer, might better take step dreamweaver , bypass programme.

so question whether i've misunderstood or if there plans make possible import muse designed site other editors dreamweaver.

as far has been made publically aware; no, there no plans make muse originated site easier edit in dreamweaver. muse bit of closed system , believe has been designed wayintentionally too. make things easy, has limited functions, muse team have promised added on time. however, it's been designed used closed system without in way of 3rd party manipulation.. design sites in muse, edit them in muse, spits out html , css , go there. it's not meant go more complex editor dreamweaver. remember, many of it's intended market wouldn't have expensive piece of software dreamweaver in first place.

so, bascially no, there nothing stopping importing muse designed site dreamweaver, apart skill set , patience. however, if - keep in mind whatever change site in dreamweaver 1 upload only. can not take dreamweaver "edit" or manipulation of site , muse. won't work. have make changes again everytime updated site can't take exisiting sites/code/html/css , reinsert them muse.

the whole subscription model exacerbating situation since otherwise keep bought version of relevant editor on computer edit old sites,

and crux of problem / controversy muse. ransomed unless @ adobe changes.
