'open recent file' not working

hi, i've started new job, , i'm on pc cs6. (i'm used mac, cs5)

 

i can't seem 'open recent file' work in of cs6 programes greyed out , never remembers i've last done.

does have files being stored on passworded server?

i have feeling registry setting set delete recent files list. used part of 'paranoia' settings in tweakui power toys microsoft, user-friendly ways access settings, set manually, or possibly group policy. have department, or handles configuration , software installation @ job? i'd take them.
