got quick q here - converted .docx pdf/a 1-b (2005) standard, whatever reason, save computer did actual conversion, links in table of contents no longer function.
if use preflight remove pdf/a tag, links work ok. there pdf/a removes linking functionality i'm not aware of? these links on document move different parts of document, nothing fancy.

the pdf/a specialised format. used archival purposes many governments worldwide. standard developed archiving in mind, format purposefully not include support hyperlinks (even ones between pages) can degrade on time.
make sure convert pdf interactive instead.
