Thread: Simple backup configuration got lost

ubuntu 10.10, simple backup

backup stopped working @ date.

went in "simple backup-configuration", says, there no configuration.

might cause trouble this? should seek more secure tool?

i think can add thing here share, let google direct people might needs such info.

it's not bug of sbackup.

synatic installs sbackup , creates 2 sets of shortcuts in gnome menu, 1 set in application>accessories, set in application>system. use 1 in application>system, better disable 1 on accessories cause doesn't ask root permission , might not work folders requires root privilege

application>accessories confusing too, since if configured in application>system>simple backup, configure profile won't show in application>accessories, that's previous confusion came from.

other hint on configuring sbacup 2nd harddrive:, make sure 2nd harddrive automatically mount on boot, otherwise; if system reboots, , sbackup won't able find hardrive, $home of whoever configured backup profile.
