Batch/ Droplet processing images into separate folders.

hi guys,

 

i'm after guidance batch processing images. i've finished catalog 700+ images , i'd create index future use.

 

i have action allows me save general purpose size image e-mailing customers thumbnail size image photo invoices. making 2 seperate actions two, there issue categories of image types.

 

within catalog images of products, , related brand. index images brand based folder, , seperate folders thumbnails , general use.

 

so essentially, workflow along lines of

 

create new folder brand/ category

     open image

     resize general use

     save image as... in brand > general use

     resize thumbnail

     save image as... in brand > thumbnails

     close

 

     repeat images in category.

 

create new folder new brand category

     open image

.... etc etc.

 

also, there way select resizing of image it's longest/ shortest edge within action/ droplet? know image processor has capability seems strange there no ability within action.

 

any appreciated, suggestions work arounds etc etc...

actions have no conditionals, may want scripting handle saving copies various target forlders.
