My Joomla 2.5 Site User Altered - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

it seems joomla site has been altered via phpmyadmin. thought security issue dealt in 2.5

anyway. there anyway how can add new super user unable access website backend.

phpmyadmin , joomla both webapplications.
they work separately , don't "know" of each others existence.
joomla cannot secure phpmyadmin webapplication, , vice versa.

do use latest joomla version in 2.5 series: 2.5.6 ?
if not, please upgrade 2.5.6.

which 3rd party extensions use?
