How to stop Google indexing duplicated websites? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i have been making websites similar content have been practising making websites. problem don't want google index websites because have similar content , think google frowns on that. how stop google indexing these temporary websites? plan delete them once have final website , ready. in meantime, need work on several websites @ 1 time.

there's no absolute way stop it, because not search engines follow rules - 2 things can put following in robots.txt file:

disallow: /

and go admin pages site>global configuration , @ bottom left you'll find dropdown called robots - select no index/no follow.
