does else find unity bit slow and/or laggy compared ubuntu classic (with effects)? have 3 machines in house have upgraded 11.04 i'm using ubuntu classic session on of them because every action in unity seems slower. i'm wondering if common or if i'm odd one.
i dont think "just you"...
installed 11.04 on netbook.
- battery duration dropped 2 hours 10.04 / winxp, 40 minutes natty.
- netbook heats grill after few minutes of use
- feels slow , slugish
- unity... mhh don wanna start yet debate it. lets personally definitively not it.
tought "no problem, ill use classic gnome session option @ login screen". did find out classic desktop in 11.04 full of bugs (problem window titles, panels, , others).
uninstalled natty. on 1 of netbooks went 10.04, , on 1 went fedora.
