Free trial version - click boxes and text entry boxes options greyed out

to determine if purchase captivate creating few projects using 30day free trial s/w.

 

i want see how easy build complete software simulation in 'let-me-try' mode. before creating simulation think should first set preferences:  via edit > preferences > turn on 'click boxes' , 'text entry boxes'

 

however, 'click boxes' & 'text entry boxes' greyed (grayed) out.

 

the 'help' function doesn't appear work in 30 day trial either, i'm not getting screens pop-up!

 

my questions are:

 

1) if turn on 'click boxes' & 'text entry boxes' before create simulation, setting take affect every slide?

 

2) know if can activate 'click boxes' & 'text entry boxes' on 30 day trial s/w?

i believe found answer both questions  .... top of preferences page 'mode' drop down. change mode 'traning simulation' or 'assessment simulation' , 'click boxes' & 'text entry boxes' activated.

 

i can see answer question (1) yes.
