i have tif following dimensions: 38.74 cm x 28.85 cm @ res 300ppi.
now going printed on canvas 6.43meters x 5.77meters, adjust dimensions frame not need stretch image in direction.
i have placed image in indesign , illustrator , generated high quality print (pdf) dimensions 643 mm x 577 mm (as printing company works @ 10%).
this close of image:
there pixelation.
my questions are
- original tiff resolution not enough, quite high res! if case size , res image ask photographer produce.
- or accept fact there pixelation?
- can in photoshop, illustrator combat problem?
as doing more of these prints (sumner, nz container art project), need create document minimum specs, think these specs should be.
thanks in advance suggestions.

1) if plan on working in centimeters should work ppc not ppi. if use ppi work in inches, easier trying convert between 2 systems.
2) (i use inches therefore thats example be)
your specs convert (approx. 25.32" x 22.72")
25.32 x 300ppi = 7596px
22.72 x 300ppi = 6816px
a 25.32" x 22.72" @300ppi = 7596px x 6816px
the number pixels required in order image not pixelated. technically may away 150ppi stick 300ppi out of habbit.
remember tiff images raster images , therefore, need aware of pixel size when doing printing.
when scaling image, computer must make missing data can scale before seeing defects.
this information applies raster images , not vector data.
