Thread: Can detect internet but can't connect

hey guys,

have installed ubuntu 10.10 on windows 7 os part of dual boot, , im having trouble connecting internet.

have wireless edimax pcie adapter , seem able detect signal fine when try connect ubuntu starts thinking , after while says "disconnected wireless internet".

i'm pretty noob lunix have small amount of experience terminal, not great on networking terms, please dont go deep quick on terminology!

let me know info need , supply
