Import what the camera saw

basic question:

how set lr when import, imports exact camera settings?  specifically, i'm using canon dslrs , if camera picture style "standard" that's how want image imported.  or if image shot camera picture style "camera landscape" want profile setting image imports with.

is possible?

a second question, if have imported several images, know can "select all" , use auto-synch change default (which seems adobe standard) "camera standard" there way rid of little "+/-" icon , history?  in other words, how wanted images imported default profile wasn't set correctly , images show "history" in fact not history way wanted start before making actual "adjustments."

or, have re-import images profile set camera standard?

i know should basic i'm having hard time getting lr set "first time."

thanks

hi roxie,

answer first question no.

adobe has no access these proprietary canon data. if insist on them need use canon software.

your second problem easier solve: change default develop settings away adobe standard general taste is. e.g. select profile camera standard i.o. adobe standard, maybe medium i.o. linear tone curve, default correction lens or noise. though latter makes sense if have preferences set iso-level.

once changed standard develop settings ( per camera type or serial no if set preferences so) import , starting point, alos if click reset in develop. valid image not yet have xmp-data @ time of import.

how change default settings: develop 1 image new settings, make sure did can identically done image. while in develop module goto menu develop-set default settings, , click on update current settings.
