Thread: grub mix-up

so have installed kubuntu 11.04 on separate partition alongside ubuntu 11.04 , windows 7, kubuntu replaced ubuntu grub, thats okay, want ubuntu grub can use grub-customizer set boots first, have run update-grub command ubuntu
code:
mfp@pc:~$ sudo update-grub [sudo] password mfp: generating grub.cfg ... found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-8-generic found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.38-8-generic found memtest86+ image: /boot/memtest86+.bin found windows 7 (loader) on /dev/sda1 found ubuntu 11.04 (11.04) on /dev/sda7 done mfp@pc:~$
(ubuntu 11.04 on /dev/sda7 kubuntu)
still kubuntu grub blue background , grub-customizer doesn't work on it, tried using rescatux live cd no luck restore ubuntu grub, how bring ubuntu grub?
or file edit , how on kubuntu grub boot ubuntu first place?

easiest method in opinion reinstall grub ubuntu partition , let control booting again:

since using 11.04 make sure use command specific reinstall grub mbr.
