Thread: to be or not to be admin

hello everybody,

i'm person uses computer.

default ubuntu creates first user account has admin privileges (useful installing updates , printer drivers, creating/deleting other users, etc.).

i've created second account not have admin privileges. login on account when want ordinary things (surfing, playing sudoko, etc.).

questions :

• do have have second account ordinary work?
• if don't, advantages/disadvantages?
• why aren't there 2 accounts default?

i dont have separate account.

think long not loging in root system prompts passwords everytime 'sudo' command. in gui needs admin rights. me, long password sensible second account overkill....
