Thread: Wubi Woes


my windows os having big virus attack didn't seem able fixed. decided switch on linux, have 1 computer is. not read off linux cd have of jaunty jackalope, had install website ... here's trouble begins.

upon installing through wubi instantly partitioned 2 operating systems, wanted linux. when start computer have 3 options--linux, windows, or f8 see options starting windows. no matter how far google or software install under linux cannot find way remove windows , make linux primary os.

furthermore i'm having 2 other issues, 1 i'm getting odd amount of lag. computer mentioned , 1 i'm using same yet 1 runs smoothly. other issue cannot seem change appearance i'd to.

under computer i'm running, can install desktop, on top see "applications, places, system" , on bottom see window i'm on ... under aforementioned computer on left under chunky black bar, seems can run 1 of application @ time even! in short, i'm wondering how fix of these issues?

edit -- clear, can't seem find terminal under aforementioned computer... how funny sounds...

if installed through wubi, cannot remove windows without removing ubuntu well. ubuntu installed in virtual hard drive within windows partition. remove windows , ubuntu goes well. if want ubuntu, have install own partition install cd.

i'm bit confused computer which, no matter! "aforementioned" computer sounds description though running unity desktop. "current" 1 running classic gnome. more unity:
