Thread: Removed /var/lib/dpkg

hi!

did unsuccessful update , got lock un apt. instead of removing /var/lib/dpkg/lock, accident removed /var/lib/dpkg.


yes, don`t have backups, , regret now.


created new /var/lib/dpkg folder if apt-get upgrade, tries install applications, because apt thinks dont have any. chance rebuild database?

also, if hit "yes" , try reinstall them all, error message:

"e: not perform immediate configuration on 'multiarch-support'. please see man 5 apt.conf under apt::immediate-configure details. (2)"
