http://samba.org/samba/docs/man/samb...diagnosis.html
getting
server requested plaintext password 'client plaintext auth' disabled
session setup failed: success - 0
brief search of forums showed older thread (circa 2009) similar issue, it's remaining gibberish tired brain.

when , can think again....what more information can give can me figure out how tweak security or password settings move on through process?
i've bookmarked
http://samba.org/samba/docs/man/samb...ing-samba.html
since suspect i'm going needing it.
know have issues resolve add users since 3 computers are: in windows: gateway, (win 7 64 bit) users smcrossman, suzanna; dell (win 7 32 bit), user suzanna aka zan (windows doesn't take name changes isn't consistent); in ubuntu: suzanna on suzanna-gateway; suzanna on suzanna-dell; , suzanna on suzanna-desktop (ubuntu only). goal keep things clear , consistent (passwords same users per os well) until had idea how naming worked in whatever networking/sharing system ended using. i'm starting programming i'll need things little better differentiated. tips/suggestions on appreciated.
okay...no responses? posting in wrong place? use little guidance push past error message.....
