how create curved arrow in photoshop tutorial

correct, that's matter of using paths (pen tool).

however, there couple ways go it.

if want simple outlined head...
1) draw curved path, deselect it, draw angled path arrow head. select both paths , stroke them using brush that's width/size want lines be.

if want solid triangular shaped head...
2) use line tool , set options use "vector shape layer" setting (1st icon button on far left of bar).
in line tool settings also, open geometry options menu , set line have arrow head @ end of it.
now draw straight line, starts , ends want arrow start , end.
zoom in close on middle of line.
with pen tool selected, hold down alt key , click on 1 side of line. click again on opposite side of line. adds 2 new nodes path.
hold ctrl key down , drag out selection around these 2 new nodes. while still holding ctrl key, click-&-drag either of nodes in direction want arrow line bend.
click outside shape deselect it.
now hold ctrl key again , drag out selection around 3 corner points on solid arrow head (tip , both side corner).
press ctrl+t. click-&-drag on outside of distortion square rotate head it's better aligned arrow line. press enter key apply, deselect path nodes.

you have 2 types of editable curved arrow lines.

good luck,

janelle
