Thread: 11.04 - Reinstalled and now windows won't animate, performance bad

i dual-boot xp , ubuntu, , did clean install of ubuntu 11.04 freshly formatted hard drive.

however, put grub on wrong drive (the xp drive, not ubuntu drive) , had restore xp's bootloader formatted , reinstalled ubuntu again

(yes there easier way that, way have been quicker trying find out easier way , knew work)



problem graphics card performance doesn't seem on 2nd install did on first - windows won't animate when minimising etc , there's lag\tearing when login screen comes up.


installed same way both times , yet different both times.
how can fix problem\performance issue?

turns out opengl\3d acceleration not working, 3d renderer listed "software rasterizer" , think problem.

thing is, don't know how fix that.
