Superuser access denied to front-end while site offline - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,
something odd happened, have site that's under-construction , offline until it's in more complete state.

up until use superuser login info access front-end see changes being made. however, today it's stopped allowing me log in. still able log-in back-end admin area super user.

i've tried clearing cache of site, clearing browsers cache, restarting browser no avail...

any thoughts? simple creating superuser account , deleting old one? i'd find different way keep same login , password now.

have tried creating new user @ , login on there. because down frontend login module.
