this kind of 'balancer' other running thread installing ubuntu on laptop (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1767144)

laptop in service suspect may hardware, , not ubuntu related.

on machine though, dell inspiron 530 quad core, life dream.

i've installed shed loads of great packages no problems - rock solid. capitals, yes.

running win7 x64 ultimate through vmware player no problem.

i've installed :
gimp
inkscape
numerous firefox addons
scribus
nebeans
filezilla
wine > 1password
dropbox
vmware player > win7
amarok (will ditch though - rhythmbox pumps out m4a / itunes stuff no probs)

i'm big fan of widniows 7 ultimate - big improvement on vista (not difficult thing - improving on vista).

i'm amazed @ how efficient linux ubuntu is. box used absolutely burn running win 7 x64 ultimate. have cooked breakfast on it.

ubuntu runs apps above concurrently (vmware player limited 1gb) , chews approx 2gb ram.

wonderful. i'm in love.

hope guys @ shop come , laptop has faulty something-or-other can replaced easily, can go ubuntu on too....
