Picture in PDF broken in Adobe Acrobat Reader for Windows

i thought adobe's pdf-format ultimative, interchangeable file format. well, surprise: isn't:

 

i have picture in pdf document.

it displayed fine on mac in preview , in adobe acrobat 8.

 

the picture has severe distortions on windows (eg. current version of adobe acrobat reader).

please let me know how can fix this?

furthermore love know why adobe cannot manage display pdf correctly under windows?

the pdf file not created adobe technology, there errors in how pdf created. suggest try create pdf using acrobat 8 rather pdftex , see if problem disappears.
