Building version control features with CF

hi,

i have client wiki built in coldfusion, , they'd able collaborative document editing changes documents tracked. i've seen type of thing in word, changes highlighted , can see old , new text. don't think needs fancy in terms of how changes shown, since they're using ckeditor enter content, need able see changed, when , whom (currently logged in user). make documents in final form downloadable pdfs.

anyone know of version tracking type applications built in cf? looking code i.e. cfc can re-use. curious how sort of thing gets saved in database, update existing document record, version tracking each time edit done have re-save entire document new record? eat lot of space in database, alternative saving changes document , seems overly complicated--i'm not sure how accomplished.

thanks,

chris
