hello. first off, need not computer, don't know of details, know used internet , reading .pdfs, , main user not advanced user @ all, wouldn't have messed important. picture pretty says all. not @ startup. computer set go sleep after 15 minutes, , sleeping how spends of time. don't know if sleep causes problem or not. randomly after time. way fix restart computer. appreciated.
try switching ubuntu classic environment , see if still occurs:
click on top left corner of unity. type in search box login. unlock. , select dropdown menu ubuntu classic. , exit save. reboot make sure changes have taken effect.
