Thread: I have to report a theft

i upgraded maverick natty.
not use gui used apt-get upgrade. seemed work ok, but...
has stolen firefox system!
or have they. not appear in menu system software centre reports installed.
ran apt-get install firefox , reported firefox installed it?
tried adding item menu cannot seem find file can included menu.
how can use it.
if can me find fox grateful.

try typing

code:

firefox

into terminal.

if works, do

code:

ln -s /user/bin/firefox /home/<username>/

and try adding link menu.

if doesn't work, try doing:

code:

sudo nautilus /usr/lib/firefox-<version number>

<version number> being version of firefox (4.0.1) in case. in many cases it's 3.6.2 .

fallback none of them working, this:

code:

sudo apt-get remove firefox  sudo apt-get install firefox
