i've removed zeitgeist, can't access applications menu. work around?
you need reinstall. until zeitgeist global privacy is released, install activity journal (don’t use version in official ubuntu 11.04 natty narwhal repositories – doesn’t seem work), go preferences , on plugins tab, enable “blacklist manager” (seems have double click checkbox enable it) – new “blacklist” tab should displayed. here, click add button , enter path private files (porn). if want block files, use “*” path.
can clear zeitgeist history (this history of recent files that’s display in dash) using following commands:
rm ~/.local/share/zeitgeist/activity.sqlite
zeitgeist-daemon --replace
