Move XAMPP including all sites to a new PC - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi

i upgrading new pc , need move
my existing xampp sites new pc.

i handing off old pc 3 days before get
the new 1 (three days without pc, help!). therefore
i need onto usb hdds before i
blank out old pc.

in other words, won't able confirm the
backup has been done before format old
pc. (but have laptop test with..)

i need make sure correctly , that
everything works before once new pc. my
xampp have 15 site projects, of them
joomla.

is there particular method backing whole thing
or enough copy contents of c:\xampp\*
to usb hdd? have never done particular task before
and i'm sure understand want absolutely fool proof.

sure use akeeba , joomla sites 1 one,
but need solution moving web projects in one
piece.

yeah copy whole c:/xampp folder, before that, go phpmyadmin , export databases .mysql or .txt files.

this give ready made mysql database can copy , paste new xampp phpmyadmin.

you may run trouble if don't reinstall same xampp version on there have been few changes in different version break stuff.
