Thread: Wireless WEP

i installed ubuntu 10.04 wubi on toshiba laptop , far more stable else encountered in either 10.10 or 11.04. however, atheros wireless card won't work wep. works no encryption. don't wish change wpa since have reconfigure 4 other items, such multiple windows partitions , wireless printer. don't wish use no encryption either because we're in condo , easy neighbors see everything. wireless card wouldn't work in 10.10 or 11.04 trials either. thanks.

for general security, it's highly advisable switch wpa encryption if of devices support - wep easy crack. may minor inconvenience reconfigure multiple devices, additional security network (in opinion, @ least) worth it.
