Thread: NTFS-Config Side Effect: All Files Are Executable

i installed ubuntu 11.04 unity.

although ubuntu mounts ntfs partition once open file explorer, wanted see ntfs partition command line boot up. installed "ntfs configuration tool" (ntfs-config).

now, ntfs partition mounted when start ubuntu. files set "executable". causes 2 annoyances:

1- in terminal, files colored bright green, , folders have green highlight, visually annoying.

2- when double click on files (e.g. txt files), message:

do want run "x.txt" or display content? "x.txt" executable text file.

there way can avoid this? appreciated.

need create "auto install" (at boot or after login) "ntfs-config" package everytime start ubuntu 11.04.

need confirm installation ('sudo ntfs-config') everytime password (sudo password) not think can add "easy way" (system –> preferences –> startup applications).

i'm complete newbe step-by-step instruction appreciated!
