Thread: Missing entry in "Places" to RAID array

almost complete rookie here!

i've re-installed 11.04 , noticed raid array not appear entry under "places". in previous installation, , in livecd boot (which i'm using now), appeared en entry click on mount.

in disk utility (and gparted think - not 100% sure) can see both hard drives, , can see sil controller come under, i'm not getting array showing in "places", , array checks out ok in bios. using live cd, array appears entry in /dev/mapper when using main installation can see in location "control".

array psuedo hardware array, being controlled sil controller on motherboard.

grateful suggestions can try convince ubuntu see array.

run command in terminal on ubuntu install find arrays:

sudo dmraid -r

if recognizes array should able activate them this:

code:

sudo dmraid -ay
