Thread: Altering Unity window management

i've found unity useful desktop environment , use dock , keyboard shortcuts extensively. use keyboard shortcuts placement of window benefit (e.g., pressing ctrl+alt+9 on numpad places window on top right corner of screen).

however, there's small problem. want keep dock visible of time, , therefore never move windows far left cause dock autohide. keyboard shortcuts place window left of screen (ctrl+alt+4 , others) push window edge of screen , cause dock autohide.

wondering if there's way modify unity behavior pressing these keyboard shortcuts place window left of visible desktop margin dock wouldn't autohide. ideas?

so have ccsm not unity plugin? not possible. did enough unity plugin?
