Thread: 11.04 Classic interface is worse than old Gnome 2

i have upgraded 11.04 , running classic interface don't unity.

however, have noticed far 2 areas classic version has gone backwards default gnome in 10.10 , earlier...

can't rearrange window buttons on window list, nor can drag-and-drop flac files onto button "movie player" more -they end pinned on panel!

how can ability drag window buttons around , and turn off annoying pinning feature , drag-and-drop back?

agent24,

ubuntu's moving toward , functionality suits mobile devices such netbooks, touchpads, , phones, desktops , notebooks. feel you, think if want stay in loop, need stay familiar new interfaces. know people "fell away" computing when market took on new directions, ms-dos gurus disappeared when windows grew in popularity, faded away when "net-centricism" took off (that's me, guess.) have "cloud computing" of computing happens on remote servers, , data stored in number of remote locations. imagine: worker putting business presentation on iphone during train commute -- or while driving on freeway @ 60mph.

, continuously sharing these days. few days ago here in own town, twitter account posting cryptic messages shooting doing @ music festival (some kid got wounded in knee.) today's users continuously connected, can't imagine interior experiences like. want put on public exhibition they're doing, crimes.

anyway, new interface targeting users these. haaaa... i'm not sure want stay kind of computing. hmmm... =:p

drag-and-drop
miss drag-and-drop files panel icons too. can, however, work around that. if you're using totem movie player (i play mp3 music in it) in maximized view can click movie, open. open navigation box in default folder. can select file , drag playlist window (visible because totem maximized,) add playlist. if drag player window, replace current file playing.
