Thread: 10.10 freezes

hi
dell optiplex 990 running ubuntu 10.10 64bit freezing irregulary after using firefox.

screen , keyboard frozen, can moving mouse cursor, can't click @ anything.


system monitor applet didn't show before crash. couldn't find logs time before freeze startetd.


info: ubuntu 10.10 64 bit gnome
no graphic effects
dell optiplex 990 intel sandy bridge integrated graphics controller

any problems browser (like chromium)?
can still access system in way (like ssh, ftp, ...)? in other words graphical shell or complete system freezes?
recent changes?
