hello
i have job clean close-up shots of luxury watches. have remove dusts, scratches , fingerprints.
so far good. there shots bit complicated handle clone tool.

the dust between hand of watch , screen full of small bright dust. when use clone tool looks great on each frame when play video can see has been "worked on".
is there technique or advice share on matter? great because have no clue how make perfect.

the shot put has several things going make fix difficult. camera movement isn't linear, problem areas bright, , reflections change of components in every frame.
here's what's i'd do. i'd rotoscope soft edged mask around problems areas on duplicate layer best fix problem areas. tighter roto more success have fixing problems. i'd again i'd have 2 copies repair. i'd composite them single fixed shot eliminate flicker possible. lay repair on original.
the smaller area can work on better. going time consuming job. hope there's sufficient budget repairs. know that's it's 20/20 hind sight, why put stylist on set when you're shooting food, jewelry, or else want perfect. cost of stylist on set far less cost of fixing days worth of shooting in post.
