i have giada slim-n20 has microsoft mce compatable remote. have set remote vis mythbuntu settings program , works great in boxee , xbmc.
problem comes in want reconfigure of buttons , open irw , can not see remote presses @ all, works fine in boxee xbmc, going on here?

so on giada n20 there must hardware settings directly connected remote send. uninstalled lirc, purged every config file , guess what, remote still works. assumption configuration hard wired.
install key logger see going on. post in case helpful 1 else.
