Adding effects to your Master Track during mixdown?

i'm pro tools user many years, making slow switch audition.

 

in pro tools, adding effect, say, limiter, master track adds effect mixdown.

 

in adobe audition (i'm on mac cs5.5) seems when add effects master track, can hear them during editing, mixing down seems bypass effects.

 

is there way change setting?

i choosed hard limiter in master track, went multirack menu , choosed mixdown new file , can hear limiter in new mixdown. did in cs5.5 , cs6. works ok. sure it's toggled?
