hi when run kismet (as root) following output

launching kismet_server: //usr/bin/kismet_server
suid priv-dropping disabled. may not secure.
no specific sources given enabled, enabled.
non-rfmon vaps destroyed on multi-vap interfaces (ie, madwifi-ng)
enabling channel hopping.
enabling channel splitting.
notice: disabling channel hopping, no enabled sources able change channel.
source 0 (addme): opening none source interface none...
fatal: please configure @ least 1 packet source. kismet not function if no packet sources defined in kismet.conf or on command line. please read readme more information configuring kismet.
kismet exiting.

version of kismet using , o/s using run, info make easier guide right files edit

need find out interface using wireless , change kismet config file , add interface

if open terminal , type

code:

iwconfig

you should see wireless interface, called wlan0 or wifi0/ath0 depending on driver

next open kismet.config file , scroll down section on sources add interface source line, if bear me i'll boot backtrack 5 , find section post , show you.
